|Caption||Bust of Thomas Kettle in St Stephen's Green, Dublin city (2020)|
A view of the bust of Thomas Kettle in St Stephen's Green, Dublin city, in October 2020. This bust, by Albert Power, was erected in 1937. This still was taken during a shoot of Dublin locations and landmarks.
St Stephen's Green was originally a marshy area on the edge of Dublin City, used for grazing. It was first enclosed and maintained as an open common by Dublin Corporation in 1664. In 1814 access to the Green was restricted to local residents, but it was reopened in 1877 under an Act of Parliament.
