Irish documentary film-maker and journalist Mary Raftery photographed in her Dublin office for the RTÉ Guide in June 2009. Stills from this shoot and an interview with Raftery about her work exposing institutional child abuse were published in the RTÉ Guide on 13 June 2009. Mary Raftery was the writer, producer and director of the RTÉ television series 'Sates of Fear'. This won the 'Best Documentary in English' category in the 1999 Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) awards. It was first broadcast on RTÉ in April and May 1999. Raftery was also producer and director of 'Prime Time: Cardinal Secrets' which won the 2003 IFTA 'Best Current Affairs' award. It was first broadcast on RTÉ in October 2002. Both of these IFTA awards are visible behind Raftery in this shot. |
