Description   Broadcaster Gay Byrne (left) interviewing Irish writer Anthony Cronin, on RTÉ Television's 'The Late Late Show', in Studio 1 on 23 March 1985. Adrian Cronin and Gay Byrne produced this edition of 'The Late Late'.

Anthony Cronin is a poet and novelist, but his best known work is 'Dead as Doornails' (1976) a memoir of Dublin literary life in the 1950s. He was instrumental in the setting up of 'Aosdána', the publicly funded body for the honouring of writers and artists.
