|Caption||Leinster House, Dublin city (2020)|
A view of the rear of Leinster House, seen from Merrion Square, Dublin city, in October 2020. Leinster Lawn and the obelisk commemorating the first Executive Council of the Irish Free State are clearly visible. This shot was taken during a shoot of Dublin locations and landmarks.
Leinster House was designed by Richard Cassels in 1745 for the Earls of Kildare and Leinster. It was acquired by the Royal Dublin Society in the early nineteenth century and was bought by the Irish Government in 1925. It is now the seat of both houses of the Irish Parliament - Dáil Éireann and the Seanad (Senate).
