The Irish pop group Reform perform during the 14th National Song Contest, held in RTÉ Television's Studio 1 on 5 March 1978. From left to right; Willie Browne (guitar), Don O'Connor (drums) and Joe Mulcahy (bass). The group sang 'You Gotta Get Up' in the competition. The backing singers, from left to right, are; Hazel Gallagher, Helen Jordan and Karen Black. The National Song Contest selected a song to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. The RTÉ Guide of 3 March 1978 featured an extensive report on that year's National Song Contest. |
