Description   A view of Hen's Castle, also known as Castlekirk, located on a tiny island in Lough Corrib, County Galway, in May 1986. The programme for which this shot was taken is unknown.

Hen's Castle is an early 12th-century tower house built by the sons of Ruaidrí na Saide Buide, aided by William FitzAldelm. It is believed to be one of the oldest mortared castles in Ireland.
