Fishermen with their catch on board a boat at Ros a'Mhicíl quayside in Dingle, County Kerry, in March 1972. The boxes of fish are stamped 'Kish Fish'. Broadcasters from RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta interviewed people in living in Gaeltacht areas shortly before the station opened on Easter Sunday 2 April 1972. Stills from this shoot accompanied an RTÉ Guide feature on the station published on 31 March 1972. The Guide published a follow-up article on 7 April 1972. |
