Description   Some of the cast and crew involved in the play 'Oliver of Ireland', photographed for the RTV Guide during a reading in a Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television) dubbing studio in 1962. From left to right; Sheila Carden (Drama Department secretary), set designer James Caffrey, producer Shelah Richards, actor John Franklyn (who played Lord Daniel Finch), scriptwriter Frank D'Arcy (standing), Christopher Casson (who played Oliver Plunkett, also standing), Derek Young (Redmond O'Hanlon) and Edward (Eddie) Golden who played Rev Michael Plunkett.

'Oliver of Ireland' was based on the life and death of Oliver Plunkett. It was broadcast on 14 July 1962 with an RTV Guide preview appearing on 13 July 1962. Frank D'Arcy also wrote about the play for the same edition of the Guide; he was a journalist with the 'Irish Independent'.
