Description   A British soldier searches a man during the War of Independence, on Binns Bridge, Dublin city, circa 1921. A Dublin Metropolitan policeman and second British soldier are looking on to the right of shot. A group of onlookers can be seen on the left. Note the cobblestones and tramlines on the bridge.

Binns Bridge connects Lower Drumcondra Road (in background of this shot) with Lower Dorset Street over the Royal Canal.
