Description |
Irish actors/comedians Jimmy O'Dea (left) and Maureen Potter, in a sketch from the Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television) programme, 'The Life and Times of Jimmy O'Dea', during studio recording in October 1964. The bonnet of a vintage car is clearly visible in the foreground. This programme was broadcast on Christmas Day 1964; stills from this shoot accompanied a preview article published in the RTV (RTÉ) Guide on 18 December 1964. 'The Life and Times of Jimmy O'Dea' was written and produced by James Plunkett. It was described as 'a biographical entertainment' and featured some of O'Dea's sketches, interspersed with his reminiscences on past Christmases. James Plunkett won a Jacob’s award for the programme. |
