Make-up artist Pat O'Dwyer at work on actor Frank Barrie, just before the filming of a scene from an RTÉ Television production of William Shakespeare's 'King Lear' in Studio 1 on 10 July 1972. Barrie played the title role in this production, which was made for 'Telefís Scoile' and broadcast in two parts on 23 February and 8 March 1973.
'Telefís Scoile' comprised several different series of programmes on subjects studied by secondary school students at Junior (Intermediate/Junior Certificate) and Senior (Leaving Certificate) levels. It was initiated by RTÉ in 1964 in association with the Department of Education.
