Caption   A view of a LUAS tram making its way along Dublin's Harcourt...
Description   A view of a LUAS tram making its way along Dublin's Harcourt Street, on 5 August 2004. Terraced Georgian buildings are visible on the left of shot. Little Ceaser's restaurant is partly visible on the right. The tram is heading towards Sandyford, on the LUAS Green Line.

LUAS (the Irish word for speed) is Dublin's public transport tram system. It runs on two separate tramlines, the Green Line and the Red Line. The Green Line (which opened on 30 June 2004) connects Sandyford to St Stephen's Green in the city centre. The Red Line (which opened on 28 September 2004) connects Tallaght to Connolly Station. Harcourt Street is the second stop outward bound on the Green Line.
