Keane, Dolores (1953 - )
Irish singer Dolores Keane with her husband John Faulkner, performing on 'The Late Late Show' special featuring the traditional Irish music group The Chieftains on 4 March 1988. Keane is holding a flute as she sings while Faulkner is playing the bouzouki. Matt Molloy, flautist with The Chieftains, can just be seen in shadow behind them.
Keane sang with De Dannan in the 1970s before moving to England with Faulkner. She and Faulkner also performed in traditional music venues in London before returning to Ireland in 1981. Dolores Keane has released several albums of traditional and contemporary songs. RTÉ later released this Chieftains special on video.
