Description |
London-Irish group The Pogues during the recording of RTÉ Television's 'The Session', in Studio 4 in June 1987. From left to right; James Fearnley on accordion, Jem Finer on banjo, Philip Chevron on acoustic guitar, lead singer Shane MacGowan, Darryl Hunt on bass guitar and Spider Stacy on vocals/tin whistle. 'The Session' was an RTÉ/Frontier Films co-production which featured musicians from Ireland, Britain and America performing together - the shows were recorded in RTÉ's studios in front of an audience of 400. The Pogues featured on the show broadcast on 10 October 1987. An article on the entire series appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 9 October 1987. |
