Swimmers take a boat, 'Little Flower', to Ireland's Eye from Howth, County Dublin, at the start of the Island Swim on 30 June 2019. This is a screen grab from footage shot for the RTÉ Television programme, 'The Geansaí', an Irish language series focusing on Ireland's sporting communities and their stories. The Island Swim is between Ireland's Eye and Balscadden Bay in Howth, and is one of the races undertaken by those who wish to participate in the Liffey Swim. '100 Bliain ag Snámh', a programme about the 100th Liffey Swim, was the second episode in the fourth series of 'The Geansaí' and was first broadcast on 17 September 2019. |
