Description
|
|
A view of the Cenotaph in Parliament Street, Whitehall, London in 1969. Flags and wreaths are arranged around it. There is an unidentified three-storey building in the background, passerbys are walking on the pavement outside it. The Cenotaph is a memorial to Britain's war dead, which was erected at the end of the first World War. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. This picture was taken as a stock shot by RTE Stills Department photographer Eddie McEvoy.
