|Caption||Liz Willoughby during 'Eurofashion '68' rehearsal (1968)|
Irish model Liz Willoughby on the catwalk during rehearsals for the Irish final of 'Eurofashion '68', in RTÉ Television's Studio 1 in 1968. This show was broadcast on RTÉ Television on 13 February 1968, but it is unclear whether or not it was live. Liz is wearing a bri-nylon playsuit designed by Niamh O'Farrell. Two of the judges can be seen seated in the background; they are fashion designer Clodagh (left, wearing dark glasses) and Cecil Vard of Doreen.
'Eurofashion' was a competition to select the young Irish designer of the year, who then went on to represent Ireland at the European finals held in London on 21 March 1968. An article on the 1968 contest appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 9 February 1968. This issue of the Guide also printed the competitors' designs.
