Ní Chnaimhín, Bláithín
Head and shoulders of broadcaster Blaithin Ni Chnaimhin with a paper puppet which she made for the children's television programme, 'Ceapars', in 1963. She is smiling straight to camera as she moves the puppet's arms and legs, balancing it on the back of the armchair she is sitting in. 'Ceapars' included simple animation of these paper puppets. This shot appears to have been taken in a sitting room, or at least on a studio set designed to look like one. A sash window with curtains is visible in the background. A small open suitcase is partially visible in the right background.
'Ceapars' was first broadcast on 15 July 1963 and was produced by Don Bennetts. Blaithin Ni Chnaimhin was best known for her other children's programme 'Let's Draw'.
