Irish traditional/folk group The Dubliners, during the recording of RTÉ Television's 'The Session' in Studio 4 in June 1987. From left to right; Barney McKenna (banjo), John Sheahan (fiddle), Ronnie Drew (vocals/guitar), Seán Cannon (guitar) and Eamonn Campbell (guitar). 'The Session' was an RTÉ/Frontier Films co-production which featured musicians from Ireland, Britain and America performing together - the shows were recorded in RTÉ's studios in front of an audience of 400. The Dubliners featured on the show broadcast on 10 October 1987. An article on the entire series appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 9 October 1987. |
