A view of the countryside at Arigna, County Roscommon, during filming of the RTÉ Television series 'Changing Places' on 14 May 1991. Arigna Church can be seen on the right, while the buildings to the left may have been part of Arigna Mines which closed in 1990. 'Changing Places' was a twelve-part documentary series looking at life in rural Ireland. This shot was taken during filming of the first episode, 'Postcards from the Hedge', which focused on agri-tourism and was broadcast on 25 September 1991. |
