Portrait of Irish singer/actress Anne Nimmons at the rehearsal of the musical 'Carrie', in which she played the title role, in Molesworth Hall, Dublin in 1963.
'Carrie' was adapted by Michael Coffey and Wesley Burrowes from the original play by James Douglas. It was first presented at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin as part of the 1963 Dublin Theatre Festival and was adapted for a television screening on the 12 November that year. It was directed by Peter Collinson. A page-long feature on the production, written by Wesley Burrowes, appeared in the RTV Guide of 8 November 1963. This particular shot of Nimmons was used as part of a short feature on her in the RTV Guide of 4 October 1963.
