Description   Irish actors Patrick Bedford (left, as Napoleon) and Brendan Cauldwell as the Inn Keeper in a scene from an RTE production of George Bernard Shaw's play 'The Man of Destiny', televised on 31 March 1964. This one-act comedy is set in an inn at which Napoleon is staying and where he meets a lady (played by Siobhan McKenna) whom he suspects of being a spy. In this scene Bedford is lying on a chaise longue with his arms folded, looking to the right of shot. Cauldwell is standing behind Bedford, leaning down to speak to him. Part of a television camera is obscuring the right foreground of this shot. Brendan Cauldwell was a member of the REP (Radio Eireann Players). John O'Donovan wrote about this play for the RTV Guide of 27 March 1964; it was produced by Shelah Richards.
