King George V walks with Cardinal Michael Logue, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland at the Royal College of Saint Patrick, Maynoooth, on 9 July 1911. Behind them Queen Mary walks with Dr William Walsh, Archbishop of Dublin at the Royal College of Saint Patrick, Maynooth, on 9 July 1911. They are followed by a number of unidentified dignitaries. The coronation royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary took place from 8-12 July 1911, and was the last visit by a reigning monarch to Ireland before independence in 1922. |
