Northern Ireland Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) politician Roy Bradford (left) speaks to theologian Fr Enda McDonagh, during filming of the RTÉ Television current affairs series '7 Days' in Maynooth University in December 1972. McDonagh was Professor of Moral Theology at St Patrick's College, Maynooth at the time. '7 Days' broadcast a special programme, 'Roy Bradford's Republic', on 19 January 1973 which featured Bradford's perspective on the Republic of Ireland in addition to contributions from various people living there. Stormont, the Parliament of Northern Ireland, had been abolished in March 1972. |
