RTÉ broadcaster Ruth Buchanan, modelling a crochet mini-dress for the RTÉ Guide in 1968. She is seated in front of a sound desk in a radio studio; a record turntable is visible to the right foreground. This still was used to illustrate a pattern for this dress, published in the RTÉ Guide of 15 November 1968. A second still of Buchanan modelling a matching jacket with the dress, was published in the following week's Guide on 22 November 1968. Ruth Buchanan started as a continuity announcer at RTÉ in 1968 and has worked on children's and religious radio programmes. She is currently presenting 'Playback', a weekly overview of RTÉ Radio programmes. |
