Head and shoulders of barrister and genealogist Eoin 'the Pope' O'Mahony in 1962. He is looking straight to camera and is wearing his glasses. This photograph was taken during a shoot to publicise his appearance on the RTE Television programme 'Self Portrait' which was broadcast on 8 May 1962. It appeared on the front cover of the RTV Guide of 4 May 1962 with an article about O'Mahony in the same issue. Eoin O'Mahony practised as a barrister on the Munster circuit and was a member of Fianna Fail. He was the resident genealogist on Radio Eireann's 'Meet the Clans' programme for several years. |
