Irish traditional/folk group The Wolfe Tones, performing on 'Capital Folk' during programme recording in the Old Shieling Hotel, Raheny, County Dublin, in early 1972. From left to right; Brian Warfield playing the banjo, Noel Nagle, Derek Warfield (mandolin) and Tommy Byrne playing acoustic guitar. 'Capital Folk' was a co-production between RTÉ Television and BBC Scotland. The first episode of 'Capital Folk' was broadcast on 16 February 1972; The Wolfe Tones were regular guests. Stills from this shoot accompanied an RTÉ Guide preview published on 11 February 1972. A further Guide article about the programme was published on 17 March 1972. |
