A scene from a very early episode of the RTÉ Television drama series 'The Riordans', possibly the first, during filming in late 1964. From left to right; Moira Deady as Mary Riordan, Tom Hickey as Benjy Riordan and Rebecca Wilkinson as Jude Riordan. Benjy and Jude were two of Mary Riordan's children in the series. [The photographs in this sequence were taken during filming of episodes 1-4]. 'The Riordans' was a rural drama series that ran from 4 January 1965 to 28 May 1979 on RTÉ Television. Stills from this shoot accompanied an RTV (RTÉ) Guide cover feature on the programme published on 1 January 1965. |
