Description |
A scene from the RTÉ Television drama series 'Bracken', during filming in Roundwood, County Wicklow in November 1979. Gabriel Byrne, who played Pat Barry in the programme, is leaning against a tree to talk to Fiona Victory, as Louise Daly. She is sitting on a swing, looking at him - her face is not clearly visible. She is holding a paperback copy of Marilyn French's 'The Women's Room' in her lap. 'Bracken' was a rural drama written by Wesley Burrowes. It was broadcast by RTÉ in 1980 and 1982 as two six-part mini-series. Noel O Briain was the producer. The RTÉ Guide published a front cover article about the first series on 4 January 1980 - stills from this shoot were used to illustrate that article. An article about the second series appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 1 January 1982. |
