| Description | RTÉ broadcaster David Hanly in July 1985. Hanly joined RTÉ as a Radio Éireann journalist in 1963, a position he held until 1970. He left RTÉ to become a publicity officer with Bord Fáilte and a freelance writer, but rejoined the station in 1981 and went on to present the current affairs radio programme 'Morning Ireland' in 1984. He also presented an award-winning series of television interviews, 'Hanly's People' in the 1980s. | |
