Belfast-born fashion designer Mariad Whisker, in a publicity still for the 'Late Late Show' fashion awards, in September 1987. She is sitting on a black leather chair smiling to camera - this shot was probably taken in her workshop/studio. A rack of clothes can be seen to the right of shot. Whisker is best known for her linen patterns. The 1987 'Late Late Show' fashion special was broadcast on 16 October 1987, with Gay Byrne presenting and Kathleen Watkins compering. Gay Byrne was the programme producer. Robert Jacob won that year's Late Late Show Designer of the Year Award. |
