Head and shoulders of actress Ann Thornton as Lady Lavery, in a publicity shot from the television drama 'The Treaty', taken during filming in Powerscourt, County Wicklow in August 1991. She is wearing a hat, gloves and a coat with a fur collar and is looking straight to camera. 'The Treaty' was a Merlin Films production for Thames Television and RTE. This feature-length drama was written by Brian Phelan and directed and produced by Jonathan Lewis. It was first broadcast on RTE1 on 5 December 1991 to mark the seventieth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty. An article on 'The Treaty' appeared in the RTE Guide of 29 November 1991. |
