Irish actor Brendan Gleeson as Michael Collins in a scene from the television drama 'The Treaty', during filming in Newbridge House, Donabate, County Dublin, in August 1991. He is holding a glass of whiskey. 'The Treaty' was a Merlin Films production for Thames Television and RTÉ. This feature-length drama was written by Brian Phelan and directed and produced by Jonathan Lewis. It was first broadcast on RTÉ 1 on 5 December 1991 to mark the seventieth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty. An article on 'The Treaty' appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 29 November 1991. |
