Broadcaster Gay Byrne (left) interviewing British pop singer Cliff Richard on RTÉ Television's 'The Late Late Show', in Studio 1 on 24 November 1989. This edition of 'The Late Late' was also produced by Gay Byrne. Cliff Richard was born Harry Webb in India. He first came to prominence in the late 1950s, appearing in films as well as having hit records. He unsuccessfully represented Great Britain twice in the Eurovision Song Contest and received a knighthood in 1995. |
