The main cast of the RTÉ Television young people's programme 'Wanderly Wagon', opening children's letters to Santa Claus, on set in Studio 2 in December 1975. From left to right; Eugene Lambert as O'Brien, Bill Golding as Rory and Nora O'Mahony as Godmother. Many of the puppets which featured in 'Wanderly Wagon' can be seen, including, from left to right; Mr Crow and Judge the dog (both with letters in their mouths), the two squirrels and Foxy. A still from this shoot was used to illustrate a brief RTÉ Guide article about the Christmas editions of 'Wanderly Wagon', which were broadcast on 20 December and Christmas Day 1975. 'Wanderly Wagon' ran on RTÉ from 1967 to 1982. |
