Scottish pop group The Bay City Rollers performing on RTÉ Television's 'The Tony Kenny Show', during recording in Studio 1 in September 1976. From left to right; Derek Longmuir on drums, either Eric Faulkner or Stuart Wood on guitar, lead singer Les McKeown, bass player Alan Longmuir (Derek's brother) and second guitarist (Faulkner or Wood). The group often wore tartan trousers and scarves as part of their act. The Bay City Rollers appeared on 'The Tony Kenny Show' broadcast on 6 October 1976. This was the first of three hour-long specials featuring Kenny and various other music acts, both from Ireland and abroad. A brief article on the programme appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 1 October 1976. |
