Description |
Galway-based arts and theatre company Macnas, perform during the opening sequence to the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, at a dress rehearsal in Dublin's Point Theatre in April of that year. The performers are wearing huge masks of famous Irish people, including Bono and Sinéad O'Connor. Macnas was founded in Galway in 1986. Ireland won that year's Eurovision with 'Rock 'n' Roll Kids'. The contest was broadcast live on RTÉ Television on 30 April 1994. |
