Description |
Irish singer Patricia Cahill, at the 1967 National Song Contest, which was televised by RTÉ from Studio 1 on 12 February 1967. Cahill sang 'Back to the Hills' and 'Canavaun' during the contest, which selected a song to represent Ireland at that year's Eurovision Song Contest. That year's National Song Contest featured five singers performing nine songs; the public decided the result by postal vote. RTÉ Radio also broadcast the competing songs on 11 and 13 February 1967. The RTÉ Guide previewed the 1967 National Song Contest in its edition of 11 February and published an article on the result on 24 February 1967. |
