| Description | RTÉ newsreader Don Cockburn in December 1984. This shot was taken in the RTÉ Stills Studio. Cockburn joined RTE as a part-time Radio Eireann announcer in 1958 before becoming a full-time employee in 1972. He retired in 1992. | |
