Description |
German musical arranger/conductor James Last, with Irish traditional singer Nóirín Ní Riain and the Benedictine monks of Glenstal Abbey, on the lawn outside St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin on 31 October 1984. They were at the cathedral to record 'James Last at St Patrick's Cathedral', televised by RTE on Christmas Day 1984. This is a full-length shot of everyone. The monks are holding booklets - possibly concert programmes? The cathedral can be clearly seen in the background. This concert featured the James Last Orchestra performing classical religious music with the Glenstal Abbey monks, St Patrick's Cathedral Choir and Nóirín Ní Riain. Ian McGarry produced and directed. The RTE Guide published an article on the concert in its edition of 21 December 1984. |
