American singer/songwriter Don McLean performing on stage at the Siamsa Cois Laoi festival, held at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork city on 22 July 1984. It is unclear whether or not this concert was recorded by RTÉ - if it was it does not appear to have been broadcast. Don McLean is best-known for his 1971 song 'American Pie'. The Siamsa Cois Laoi music festival was an annual event, held in Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh during the 1970s and 1980s. |
