Description |
RTÉ producer Jim FitzGerald, a guest on the RTÉ/BBC Northern Ireland television series, 'Borderlines', on set during programme recording in an RTÉ studio in 1967. In addition to his career as an RTÉ Television producer, Jim FitzGerald was a theatre director in Ireland in the 1950s and 1960s. He was appointed Telefís Éireann's Head of Drama in the early 1960s. 'Borderlines' was a 10-part discussion series focusing on issues of interest to Irish people on both sides of the border. This edition of the show featured a discussion on 'The State and the Arts'; it was broadcast on 27 July 1967. The first programme in the series was broadcast on 8 June 1967; the RTÉ Guide previewed it on 2 June 1967. |
