A view of a puppet from RTÉ Television's young people's programme 'Brogeen Follows the Magic Tune', during studio filming in March 1969. This programme was a puppet serial, based on Irish writer Patricia Lynch's books about Brogeen the leprechaun. The puppets were made by Eugene and Mal Lambert of Lambert Puppet Theatre. The stories were adapted for television by Frank Kelly; he wrote about the series for the RTÉ Guide of 11 April 1969. The first programme was broadcast on 12 April 1969. Patricia Lynch wrote about Brogeen for the RTÉ Guide of 9 May 1969. |
