Irish rugby player Fergus Slattery, taken in Landsdowne Road in 1970. Slattery is centre shot turned slightly to the left and is looking into the distance. Ireland played Wales in Landsdowne road on 14th March 1970. Ireland won by 14 points to 0. The match was broadcast live by RTE and previewed in the RTE Guide of 13th March 1970. Ireland’s most capped flanker, Slattery made 61 international appearances between 1970 and 1984, 17 times as captain. |
