An exterior view of Springfield Road RUC (Royal Ulster Constabulary) station in West Belfast, in October 1982. The station is heavily fortified with fencing. The RUC became the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) in November 2001, as part of the 1998 Good Friday agreement. Springfield Road police station was closed in 2002.
