Description |
RTÉ producer Gerry Murray, in a publicity still taken for RTÉ Television's current affairs programme '7 Days', on 4 September 1974. He is sitting behind a desk, and looking to the right of shot. This photograph was taken in the '7 Days' office - Murray was the programme's editor at the time this picture was taken. A photograph from this shoot was used in an RTÉ Guide article about the programme, written by Gerry Murray and published in the edition of 13 September 1974. '7 Days' ran from 1966 to 1976. Gerry Murray started his RTÉ career as a Balance and Control Officer in Radio Éireann's Cork studios in 1957. He subsequently presented and produced programmes in the Cork studios before becoming a television producer in the early years of Telefís Éireann. He became Head of Current Affairs, Television in the mid-1970s and was appointed Assistant Controller, Television in July 1980. |
