Irish writer Lee Dunne (centre) with the producer and cast members of RTÉ Radio 1's 'Harbour Hotel', in a shot taken during the recording of the 1000th episode of the drama serial in January 1979. This still was taken in the RTÉ radio studio where the programme was recorded; all seven people are gathered around the studio microphone. From left to right; Kate Minogue (who played Ann Boylan), Chris Curran (Gabriel Murphy), Barbara McCaughey (Kathryn O'Connell), Lee Dunne (writer of 'Harbour Hotel'), Daphne Carroll (Mrs Doyle), Jim Reid (Aidan Belton) and programme producer Frank Lawlor. Two stills from this shoot were used to illustrate a brief article about 'Harbour Hotel''s 1000th episode, published in the RTÉ Guide of 23 February 1979. Frank Lawlor was the producer and Lee Dunne the writer of 'Harbour Hotel' at the time this picture was taken; the programme ran from 1975-1990. |
