The group VIP, Hungary's representatives in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, perform on stage during dress rehearsals at Dublin's Point Theatre on 3 May 1997. This is a four-member boy band - this is a full-length shot of all four. The song they performed was entitled 'Miert Kell, Hogy Elmenj?', which came 12th out of 25 entries. Katrina and the Waves won that year's Eurovision for the United Kingdom with 'Love Shine a Light'. RTE Television broadcast the contest live with Carrie Crowley and Ronan Keating presenting. The RTE Guide of 2 May 1997 included a souvenir programme which gave details on all of that year's contestants. |
