Gerard Mannix Flynn as Benson and Jeananne Crowley as Ella, in a scene from the RTÉ Television drama series 'Sean', during filming in May 1980. Crowley is tending to Flynn, who is lying on the floor. This scene is probably from Episode 6, entitled 'At the Sign of the Pick and Shovel', which was broadcast on 11 January 1981. 'Sean' was a 13-part drama series based on the autobiographies of Irish writer Sean O'Casey. It was devised by Michael Voysey and written by Voysey, Neil Hartnett and Eugene McCabe. The first programme was broadcast on 7 December 1980 as part of 'The Sunday Series'. The RTÉ Guide of 5 December 1980 featured a two-page article on 'Sean'. |
