Description |
British pop band Bucks Fizz celebrate their win in the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest, on stage in Dublin's RDs on 4 April that year. The previous year's winner, Ireland's Johnny Logan, is standing first right beside songwriter Shay Healy. The writers of 1981's winning song, 'Making Your Mind Up', are also on stage. The members of Bucks Fizz were; Jay Aston (second left), Cheryl Baker (third left), Mike Nolan (foruth left) and Bobby G (fifth left). RTÉ Television and Radio broadcast this contest live. The RTÉ Guide featured extensive coverage of the contest in its edition of 3 April 1981. |
